It's been a summer of cricket to remember with England decisively winning a third consecutive Ashes series over their greatest rivals Australia.

But the cricket world's greatest contest is far from over, as for the first time in history the return Ashes contest in Australia will be played in the same year.

That means come November, the Barmy Army and thousands of English cricket fans will be making their way down under for the cricket trip of a lifetime, hoping our boys can win a fourth straight series against the old foe, as well as taking in the sights of one of the most exciting and diverse countries on the planet.

Former England captain and Ashes hero David Gower will be amongst those escaping the English winter for an Australian summer of cricket and he's particularly looking forward to the third test in Perth where he'll get to spend time in Western Australia, a region he says was one of his favourite places in the world to tour and now holiday in.

Watch our video guide where David picks out his favourite beaches, things to do and of course where to celebrate a win for those heading over for the Ashes later this year.
